DMP bans flying lanterns for 13hrs from 11pm

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a 13-hour ban on flying lanterns across the Dhaka metropolitan area, effective from 11:00pm today to 12:00am tomorrow.

DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali issued the order under Section 28 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76).

Residents have been requested to comply with the directive, the DMP said.
