The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am.
According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or thunder showers with gusty wind are expected at many places over Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at some locations in Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet.
The bulletin also noted that day and night temperatures may rise slightly nationwide.
On Thursday, the highest temperature of 35°C was recorded in Feni under Chattogram division and Kumarkhali under Khulna division, while the lowest temperature of 24.3°C was recorded in Bandarban.
In the capital, the sun will set at 6:32 pm today and rise at 5:34 am tomorrow.
