The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9 am on Thursday (September 4).
According to the latest weather bulletin, a few places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience rain or thundershowers.
Isolated rainfall may also occur in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Some areas across the country may witness moderately heavy showers.
The Met Office also noted that day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly.
"Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay," the bulletin stated.
On Wednesday, Sylhet recorded the highest temperature in the country at 36.2 degrees Celsius, while Bandarban saw the lowest at 24.0 degrees Celsius.
In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:14 pm today, with sunrise at 5:41 am tomorrow.
