At least three people were killed in a collision between two trucks at Kamarkhand Upazila in Sirajganj early Tuesday.

One of the three diseased was identified as the driver of stranded truck Shafiqul Islam, 35.

SI Riazuddin, the 2nd officer of Bangabondhu Bridge (west) thana said the accident occurred when a Bogra-bound fish-laden truck from Mymenshingh rammed into another poultry feed carrying truck parked on the Dhaka-Bogra highway near Nalka intersection in the upazila`s Jhaoil area.

The driver, helper and a passenger in the fish-carrying truck died on the spot, the police offcial added.

Police recovered the bodies and sent to Sirajgonj Sadar hospital morgue.

The traffic turned normal after 06:00am.
