KHULNA: Mahendra Owners’-workers-passengers withdrew blockade from Khulna-Satkhira highway after 3-hour with the assurance of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Police Super on Wednesday.

Earlier, Khulna-Shatkhira highway in Dumuria upazila was blocked demanding recommence of Mahendra vehicles movement in the route.

The transportation was halted in the busy route as agitating protesters gathered on the highway around 10:00am on Wednesday.

Protesters said to banglanews that low income people are suffering lot from August 26 as the administration and Bus owners’ association shut the low-cost service of Mahendra mini-human hauler on the route.

Inspector (investigation) Tazul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
