DHAKA: Ruling Awami League has begun their campaigning through social media facebook soon after billboard.

The party has opened a facebook page (www.facebook.com/pages/albdorg/195913770465005) that contains various articles regarding development activities of government.

The contents of the page look similar to Awami league’s official website. The page can be found in facebook searching by typing albd.org.

Articles about capital’s Hatirjheel project, internet and technological development in country, education-agriculture, foreign reserve, BNP-Jamaat violence and many others post have been posted in the page already.

Party sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Online campaigning is much cheaper and active than paper campaigning and that’s why Awami league doesn’t want to be behind to build digital Bangladesh.

In this regard, Awami league presidium member Nuh-ul-Alam Lenin told banglanews, “We will utilize both analog and digital systems to draw the attention of people.”

Earlier, Awami league government started campaigning using billboard first.
