DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said any undemocratic force must face trail for assuming power unconstitutionally.
The premier, also ruling Awmi league president, came up with the forewarning while addressing a view-exchange meeting with grassroots level leaders at Ganabhaban.
She said, “We don’t want undemocratic government again. The development activities of the country will be hampered if undemocratic force assumes power and they have to face trial.”
Refuting civil society’s allegation, the premier said government amended the constitution in a hurry, it’s not fair, who tells it they are willful sinner.
Hasina also urged them to cast vote for Awami League to continue development activities taken by the government.
Jute and Textile Minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui, Awami League leader Santosh Chandra Roy, Kazi Jafor Ullah and Suranjit Sengupta were among others present at the programme.
