Cabinet approves Safe Food Act

DHAKA: Cabinet approved the draft of Safe Food Act-2013 keeping provision of minimum 5-year jail and Tk 5 lakh fine for food adulteration.

Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan came up with the disclosure after the meeting.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting at secretariat.
