DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion-4 arrested four muggers with ransom money from city’s Bhasantek area early Tuesday.

The identity of the detainees could not be disclosed yet.

The elite force, meanwhile, recovered a pair of handcuff, a toy pistol and TK 2,50,000 ransom money.

RAB-4 captain Rashed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that a man was abducted from city’s Mirpur area few days ago and took TK 2,50,00 as ransom from the victim’s family members.  

Acting on tip off, RAB men rounded up the muggers at around 3:30am by tracking the abductor, the RAB officer added.
