Cricketer killed in city train crash

DHAKA: A cricketer was killed as a train knocked him near Kuril Bishwaroad rail crossing in the city on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Mamun, 25, hailed from Rajshahi.

In which team he used to play couldn’t be known immediately.  

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Bishwaroad police box Sub-Inspector Selim told banglanews that a Kamlapur-bound train knocked down Mamun while crossing the rail track with headphones plugged into his ears around 11.45 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
