DHAKA: Oishee Rahman, daughter of slain SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman, on Thursday sought bail to metropolitan session judge court.
Oishee’s lawyer Mahbub Hasan Rana filed the petition on Thursday morning. Judge Jahurul Haque fixed October 1 for hearing on bail plea.
Earlier on august 24, Oishee gave confessional statement before the court.
Later on September 5, she applied for withdrawing her confessional statement.
Oishee claimed to have been forced into giving the statement due to threatened to kill her by poisoning her food and in “crossfire”.
On August 16, Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman, 48, and his wife Swapna Rahman, 40, were found dead at their Chamelibagh apartment. They were killed on August 14.
The bodies were found in Oishee’s bathroom and they bore several stab wounds, police said earlier.
Oishee left their house with her seven-year-old brother Ohidur Rahman and domestic help Sumi, 10, and left the house boarding on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw the following day BDST: 1207 HRS, SEP 12, 2013
