FARIDPUR: Three people of a family among four were killed and 22 others injured as a bus collided head on with a truck in Faridpur town early Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Asaduzzaman Mitu, 32, his wife Reshma Begum, 28, his daughter 5, hailed from Satkhira and bus driver Siraj, 40, hailed from Jessore.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Sadar Circle ASP Kamruzzaman said, “A bus collided head on with a truck in the area, leaving three dead on the spot and 22 others injured.”

The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and bus helper is in critical condition, he added.
