DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 in a drive recovered huge illegal VoIP equipments and held two businessmen from Shampur area of the city on Friday night.

The detainees are Ashikul Islam, 35 and Sabuj Ahamed, 28.

RAB-2 Deputy Director Rakibul Amin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

RAB-2 Additional SP Raihan told banglanews that acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-2 raided the area and arrested local businessmen Ashikul and Sabuj along with the VoIP equipment worth about Tk40 lakhs.

Later, they admitted their involvement in the crimes.
