DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 fixed September 19 for passing the order whether it would take into cognizance the charges against Jamaat-e-Islami nayeb-e-ameer Abdus Subhan.
ICT-1 led by Justice ATM Fazle Kabir passed the order Monday.
On Sunday, prosecution submitted formal charge against Abdus Subhan bringing allegations of genocide, murder, torture, arson, abduction, loot, confinement and conspiracy in 1971.
On September 20 in 2012, Sobhan was arrested following a warrant issued against him by a Pabna court.
Later, he was shown arrested in the case of committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
According to the prosecution, Sobhan was the Pabna chapter Jamaat Ameer just before the liberation war and had formed Peace Committee, Al-Badr and Razakar (collaborating forces) in his locality and committed crimes against humanity there.
