Cabinet nods draft of RPO

DHAKA: The government approved the draft of Representation of the People (Amendment) Order barring war crimes convicts from joining elections.

The approval came from the regular meeting of the cabinet at secretariat on Monday with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to journalists.
