DHAKA: Two school students drowned in Buriganga River near Hazaribag area in the capital on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Shuvangshu, 19, son of Sukumar Balmiki and Sazal Das, 16, son of Suren Das of the area.
 
Sources said Shuvangshu and Sukumar Balmiki went to Buriganga River for immersion of idol and drowned in the afternoon.

Hazaribag Thana Sub-Inspector Bazlur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
