BOGRA: Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Bogra highway in Fultala area under Shahjahanpur upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain 25, son of Abdul Bachhed resident of Sherpur upazila and Dev Barua 60, hailed from Chittagong.

Police source said that a Bogra-bound goods laden truck collided head-on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at around 8:30 pm in the area, leaving two auto-rickshaw passengers dead on the spot and two others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Shahjahanpur police station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
