2 more BD pilgrims die in Saudi

MECCA: Two more Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Rokeya Khan, 68, passport number-AF 9239776 and Mohammad ShahJahan, 59, AF 3498261.

A total of 23 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia this year.

Sources said Rokeya Khan died in Mecca on Saturday and Mohammad ShahJahan died in Medina Ansar Hospital at around 12:45am.

Mecca Hajj Mission source said that the people died of heart attack or old age complication till now.

Moreover, around 173 pilgrims died last year, the source added.

Consul (Hajj) of Jeddah Consulate Mohammad Asaduzzaman told banglanews, “A 33-member Hajj delegation led-by State Minister for Religious Affairs M Shahjahan Mia arrived in Saudi Arabia.”
