Bomb blasts inside Chuadanga thana compound leaves one injured

CHUADANGA: A day labourer was injured in a bomb explosion inside the compound of Sadar thana Saturday morning.

Police said the bomb exploded at about 8:45am while labourer Sirajul Islam, 60, was cleaning the weeds, leaving him seriously injured. He was admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital with splinters injuries.

Chuadanga Police Super, Nazrul Islam told banglanews24.com.bd that police recovered some bombs few days ago and kept inside the thana compound after defusing those.

 “One of the bombs went off after hit by a sharp knife of which Sirajul was cleaning weeds,” he added.
 
Doctor Md. Shamim Kabir of the hospital said a number of splinters were removed from Sirajul’s body and he would recover soon after getting proper treatment.
