BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has alleged that attempts are being made to create a constitutional crisis.
He made this remark on Sunday (Oct 27) during an event at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital.
“Attempts are underway to stir constitutional and political crises. We must analyze the forces behind this and remain vigilant to prevent fallen fascism from taking advantage,” he said.
The event was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka North, honouring families of anti-fascist movement martyrs.
Salahuddin while talking at the event stated that banning Chhatra League under anti-terrorism law was a public demand that received widespread support.
He further commented on Awami League, stating that the party’s future in politics should be decided by the public and judiciary if linked to acts of violence.
He concluded saying, "It’s up to the people, not administrative orders, to decide if any organization should be banned."
