BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman have been formally invited to attend the signing ceremony of the National July Charter 2025.

Members of the National Consensus Commission, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar and Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant and journalist Monir Haidar, personally delivered the invitation on Thursday (October 16) at Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara Residential Area, where Khaleda Zia has been admitted since Wednesday midnight (October 15).

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told reporters that the commission members visited Evercare Hospital to invite both the BNP Chairperson and the Acting Chairman to the July Charter signing ceremony. He added that Begum Khaleda Zia read the invitation letter from her hospital bed.

During the visit, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Monir Haidar, and Khaleda Zia’s personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain were present beside her.

The much-anticipated National July Charter 2025 signing ceremony is scheduled to be held on Friday (October 17) at 4:00 PM at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building.

Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, who also serves as President of the National Consensus Commission, is expected to attend the event as the chief guest. Several advisers to the government and senior officials are also expected to be present.
