DHAKA: Newly elected convener of Dhaka City committee of BNP Mirza Abbas on Tuesday said the movement to be enforced after Eid would be non-violent.

“There is nothing to be feared. The movement will be non-violent as the BNP is a democratic party,” he said indicating the incumbent government.

The BNP leader came up with the assertion while addressing an Iftar party, arranged by Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), at Dhaka Ladies Club.

This is the first, Abbas attended public program after his appointment as convener of Dhaka City BNP committee on July 18.
