RANGPUR: Jatiya Party (JP) chairman HM Ershad on Wednesday said they are thinking to step down from the cabinet as the incumbent government failed to meet the demands of the nation.
“The discussion is going on stepping down from the cabinet,” he said.
The former President of the country was talking to journalists in his three-day visit to Rangpur.
Ershad, also a special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said that people of the country are not in peace and they are not safe. Even, economy of the country is on the verse of collapse.
He added: “The people of the country want change and they live in peace when Jatiya Party assumes power.”
The JP chief said that they are taking preparation for elections. They will organize a council in Rangpur in this regard.
He also claimed that there is no ideological conflict in the party.
