DHAKA: A Dhaka court fixed December 28 for complete hearing charge framing against BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and its 22 leaders and activists in the case filed for torching and vandalizing vehicles.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan passed the order on Wednesday morning after holding the partial hearing.

However, at least 14 BNP men were present during the hearing, sources told banglanews.

On the other hand, the Dhaka court has also asked senior BNP leader Moudud Ahmed to appear before it by 4:00pm on Wednesday along with Swechchasebak Dal general secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Sapu, in connection with the case.

The court made the order after rejecting time petition, sources added.

Moreover, the court has also warned the duo saying that if they fail to be appeared before the court by the time, further decision will be taken.

The case was filed under the Speedy Trial Act for torching and vandalizing vehicles in Shahjahanpur area in March last year.
