DHAKA: Jubo Dal will stage demonstration on Thursday protesting the arrest warrant issued against BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman.

Central committee leader Gisaudddin Mamun of the organization confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Mamun said that issuing of the arrest warrant is nothing but “a conspiracy against Tarique”. So, party leaders and activists will protest the incident staging countrywide demonstration, he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court’s judge Ataul Haque issued the arrest warrant against Tarique for his derogatory remarks against Bangabandhu.

Assistant secretary Monir Khan of Awami League central sub-committee filed the case on November 17.
