‘Govt has killed democracy’

MYMENSINGH: Former State Minister for Energy Affairs AKM Mosharraf Hossain, also district (south) BNP president, on Thursday alleged that the incumbent government has killed democracy in country.

He also alleged that the government is fearful about the popularity of Tarique Rahman and this is why they have been filing false cases against the Senior Vice-Chairman of the party.

He also urged people to be united in the movement to restore democracy in country following the call of Khaleda Zia.

District (south) Jubo Dal president Shamim Azad, general secretary Khandaker Masud, joint general secretary Riazul Kabir M Mamun and Kotowali Jubo Dal convener Shahidul Islam Shahid were among others present in the rally.
