‘Jamaat recognized as war criminal party’ Hasanul Haque Inu

KUSHTIA: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Friday categorically said that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is recognized as war criminal party.

He made the remark while talking to journalists before attending a meeting of the recruitment committee of Bheramara Degree College in the morning.

Inu, also Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president, said proceedings of a case is underway against Jamaat for their alleged involvement in war crimes during 1971.

“The decision of banning the party depends on the verdict of that case,” he added.

The information minister further said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been enjoying all the benefits of democracy but we also monitor the party’s processions and rallies.”

“We must obstruct them if they come to participate in rallies and procession with bombs in the hand,” he added.

District JSD general secretary Abdul Alim Swapan, members of the board of directors of the college and teachers were among others present here.
