‘Police tries to break lock absence of media’

DHAKA: Police attempted several times to break lock of BNP central office in city’s Naya Paltan area, claimed the party’s joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

The BNP leader, who has been staying inside the office along with some other BNP leaders and activists by locking the main gate, claimed that law enforcers have been trying to enter BNP central office for several days. They try when they see no journalists in the place.

Police made an effort on Saturday morning, he added.

Rizvi from the office told banglanews Saturday noon that they have locked the gate after being panic as the law enforcers are not allowing people to stand in front of the office.

They (police) tried to break lock at night in absence of the media, he added.

He also expressed his shock regarding the behavior of law enforcers.

Accusing the police of using ‘excessive’ force to the opposition he further said that his party people as well as office staff are in panic situation.
