DHAKA: Outgoing US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena on Wednesday said all the political parties would have to have equal opportunities to make a country’s democracy powerful.

The US diplomat was talking to journalists after his meeting with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan political office in the evening.

He also told the journalists that the role of opposition is very important in the democratic system and all the political parties of a country should have opportunities to make democracy stronger.

Mozena said he talked with the BNP chairperson on these issues.
