SYLHET: Miscreants threw cocktails aiming the vehicle of former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Badar uddin Ahmed Kamran, who is also metropolitan Awami League president, in Pathantula area of the town on Friday.

Kamran told banglanews that some miscreants who were riding motorcycles threw 5-6 cocktails targeting Kamran’s vehicle while he was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony around 3:30pm.

However, none was injured in the attack, reported banglanews correspondent.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jalalabad Thana Akhter Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said some Chhatra Dal activists brought out a procession in the area and blasted some cocktails.

We are processing to file a case in this regard, he added.
