RANGPUR: Law enforcers early Thursday filed a case under explosives act against 69 leaders and activists of BNP and its front organisations for blasting cocktails in various areas and vandalizing vehicles.

Sub-Inspector of Kotwali Thana Saifur Rahman filed the lawsuit mentioning names of nine.

He told banglanews that the case was filed as blockaders blasted a number of cocktails and vandalized vehicles in various areas of the town on the second-day of countrywide ongoing blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party.

District BNP president Mojaffor Hossain and city unit president Emdad Bharasa condemned the matter.
