NARAYANGANJ:  Blockaders, from a procession, vandalized 10 vehicles in Nitaiganj area of the district on Friday, the fourth day nationwide blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Sources said leaders and activists of BNP, led-by its district unit president Advocate Toimur Alam Khandaker, city unit secretary ATM Kamal, district Jubo Dal president Mosharraf Hossain, city committer convener Maksudul Alam Khandaker Khorshed city Chhatra Dal joint convener Shahed Ahmed brought out a brisk procession in the area at 8:45am.

From the procession, BNP men ransacked nine parked trucks and a private car, blasted hand bombs and cocktails.

On information, police rushed to the spot. Being chased by law enforcers, processionists fled the scene.

The blockade supporters also blasted cocktails, hand bombs and vandalized vehicles in front of district BNP officers in DIT area of the metropolitan at 9:15am.

Police chased them and picked up two blockaders.

Narayanganj Sadar Model Thana officer-in-charge Manzur Kader confirmed the matter to banglanews.
