DHAKA: BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday again urged mass people and 20-party alliance leaders and activists to continue nationwide road-rail-waterway blockade with full force.

He made the call at a press conference at party’s Banani office in the capital in the morning.

Rizvi said that the BNP-led 20-party alliance is observing the blockade program for establishing freedom of express protesting the ongoing injustice. But the government is obstructing the program cruelly, he added.

The government has to quit from power facing the movement. It is now just a matter of time, Rizvi added.

He also condemned the arrest of BNP vice-chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and urged the government for stopping the arrest of BNP leaders and activists and filing ‘fake’ cases against them.

Regarding Ijtema issue, the BNP leader said that the religious values and democracy will be protected through ousting the government.

However, BNP chief Khaleda Zia had called for the blockade from Tuesday after being failed to come out of her office on January 5 to join a scheduled rally of 20-party alliance in front of BNP's Nayapaltan office to mark “Democracy Killing Day”.
