SYLHET: District and metropolitan BNP called daylong hartal in Sylhet district for Sunday protesting the confinement of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and demanding release of BNP leaders including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Sylhet district BNP joint convener Ali Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews on Friday afternoon.

He said the BNP district unit will observe the hartal protesting the confinement of BNP chairperson and demanding immediate release of BNP leaders.
