Khaleda advisor’s car torched

DHAKA: Private car of Sabihuddin Ahmed, adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, was torched in city’s Gulshan area on Saturday night.

Locals said that some unidentified miscreants torched his vehicle in the area around 8:55pm when it was parked in front of the residence of Khaleda’s another advisor Dr Osman Faruk.

The arson took place amid a countrywide nonstop blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

On January 5, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia called an indefinite countrywide blockade protesting the incumbent government’s ban on rallies of BNP-led 20-party and confinement of Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan political office.
