SIRAJGANJ: Detective Branch (DB) of police on Monday detained Raiganj upazila unit Jamaat-e-Islami secretary Abul Kalam Azad.

DB officials held Abul Kalam Azad from Dhangora Mohila Dakhil Madrasa around 5:00pm.

District unit Jamaat secretary Zahidul Islam told banglanews that police officials took him away by a white microbus.

Officer-in-Charge of Sirajganj DB police Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Several cases were filed against him, he added.
