JESSORE: Miscreants chopped a Juba League leader to death in Monirampur upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shahin, alias Thute, son of one Lutfur Rahman and a Juba League leader of Ward No-7 of Khedapara union of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Monirampur Thana Molla Khabir told banglanews that a gang of 8/10 miscreants chopped Shahin near Kashipur Alim Madrasa ground around 2:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
A case was filed in this connection, he added.
