FROM PARLIAMENT: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday claimed that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is carrying out militant activities in the name of anti-government movement.

“There is no room of militants in the country. Even, the world leaders also take stand against the militancy,” she said.

The premier, also ruling Awami League president, came up with the observation while addressing the parliament on Tuesday.

She also said the Chhatra Dal activist who killed in bomb blast is the result of BNP’s militancy and the BNP chairperson gave order for it.

Hasina said the incumbent government is handling the situation with patience as the people want security for their property.

She added: “We do politics for the welfare of the country and people, but BNP do it for their own interest.”

The premier said Khaleda is doing militancy in the country as they want to save the war crimes accused.
