DHAKA: A college student, who was injured in cocktail attack carried out by blockaders, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Tanzid Hossain Ovi, 19, son of Delwar Hossain of Rokonpur of Dholaikhal in the city. Avi was a Class XI student in the city’s Kabi Nazrul College.

Ovi had been battling for his life since January 15 when he became a victim of blockaders’ cocktail attack in front of Annex Building in the city’s Bangabazar.

Later, he was admitted at DMCH with burn injuries to the face, where he breathed his last around 1:00am.

Victim’s uncle M Babul confirmed the matter to banglanews.
