48 BNP men sued in Ashulia

ASHULIA (DHAKA): An arson case was filed against 48 leaders and activists of BNP with Ashulia and Kaliakoir areas of Dhaka district as miscreants torched a bus in supporting ongoing nationwide blockade.

Azibor, owner of the bus, which was torched at 8:00pm on January 20 on Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Ashulia, filed the case on Thursday.

Police said a group of blockaders stopped a bus of Palash Paribahan on Nabinagar-Kaliakoir route and torched it in Baikpara Jummaghar Masjid area on the highway.

However, two passengers of the bus sustained burn injuries in the incident.

Ashulia Thana Officer-in-Charge Mustafa Kamal told banglanews that police has been conducting drives to arrest the criminals as the bus owner had filed a case against the miscreants.
