CHANDPUR: The district unit secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Billal Hossain was arrested by police in the district town Thursday afternoon.

Chandpur Model Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Ahsanuzzaman Labu said that the Jamaat leader is charged in several violence cases.

Billal Hossain was held from the New Truck Road of the district Sadar around 3:00pm.

Chandpur Police Superintendent Mohammad Amir Jafar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
