BOGRA: Police, in six hours, arrested 59 people, including leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, from different places in the district between Friday midnight and Saturday morning.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gaziur Rahman, also press wing officer-in-charge of police, confirmed the matter to banglanews at 11:00am.

He said that they nabbed 59 people including the leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat in a six-hour drive conducted from Saturday early morning.

The detainees were accused of violence, vandalism and attiacts, he added, cases had been filed against them.
