SATKHIRA: A mobile court on Saturday sentenced Satkhira municipality unit Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami to two years jail on charge of sabotages.

The convict is M Obaidullah, a teacher of Satkhira PN High School and College and son of Abdul Kader of Itagacha area of the district town. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shah Abdul Sadi of Sadar Upazila led the court around 1:00am.

Earlier in the day, police detained the Jamaat leader from his institution.

Sadar Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Golam Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
