DHAKA: Diplomats of different countries visited BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office in city’s Gulshan area to console BNP chief following the death of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko.
Foreign diplomats of started coming to meet Khaleda from 4:10pm and singed the condolence book.
The ambassadors of the United Kingdom, China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Deputy Chief of Mission of US, Deputy Ambassador of Philippines, and High Commissioner of Pakistan signed in the book to console Khaleda.
Earlier on Saturday, Koko died at a hospital in Malaysia. His body has been kept at mortuary after a namaz-e-janaza in Kuala Lumpur.
Family sources said the body of Koko will be taken in the country on Tuesday morning.
On September 3 in 2007, Khaleda and her son Koko were arrested from their residence in Dhaka Cantonment for corruption case.
Later in May, 2008, after the release Koko went to Thailand for treatment and lived there with his wife and two daughters.
