Muhith warns of tougher actions

DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Monday forewarned BNP-led 20-party saying it would be very dangerous if they cross the limit.

He also asked the oppositions to remember it while conducting violence in the name of staging anti-government movements.

The minister made the assertions while addressing a discussion meeting marking International Customs Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the city.

Muhith further said in these days commuting has turned into a very dangerous matter as the oppositions are killing people in arson attack.

He also sought every possible help to put a stop to this situation.

“We need to increase coordination in customs management so that the businessmen can get best services quickly,” he added.

With National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman M Najibur Rahman in the chair, commerce minister Tofail Ahmed, prime minister’s economic affairs adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman, and FBCCI president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed were among others present at the discussion.
