BRAHMANBARIA: Police detained 107 people, including 13 activists of Bangladesh Nationalists Party (BNP) and its major ally Jamaat-e-Islami, across the district during nightlong drive from Monday evening to Tuesday morning.

Of the detainees, the BNP-Jamaat men were shown arrested in different cases related to sabotages carried out during hartal and blockade hours. Rests of them were accused in different regular cases.

District additional superintendent of police M Zahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Police’s raid is continuing to prevent sabotages, said Zahiful.
