GAIBANDHA: A Gaibandha court on Tuesday sent 24 leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami on charge of creating anarchic situation.

However, joint forces, in a special drive, detained the BNP-Jamaat men from different places of the district from Monday night to Tuesday morning.

Police sources said that the detainees were charged with several subversive activities in the area.

Gaibandha Additional Police Superintendent (ASP) Mosharraf Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
