SYLHET: BNP-led 20-party alliance called daylong hartal for Wednesday in Sylhet division protesting the case filed against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Sylhet Metropolitan BNP convener committee member Imran Ahmed Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday.

He said the decision came from a meeting of district and metropolitan BNP units and alliance leaders.

They also urged the alliance leaders and activists to observe the hartal in the division.
