BRAHMANBARIA: Police detained 104 people, including 12 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), across the district between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Police did not disclose the detailed identities of the detainees.

Of them, 12 BNP men were shown arrested in the different cases related to sabotages during blockade and hartal hours while rests were accused in other regular cases.

District additional superintendent of police M Jahidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier, police also nabbed 113 people, including 10 BNP activists, in the district between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
