DHAKA: Special Envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and also Jatiya Party (JP) chairman HM Ershad claimed that currently the country’s democracy is limited in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka and in the Parliament House.

The JP chief said to the media after a token mass hunger strike on party’s Kakrail office premises in city Thursday afternoon.

Earlier, leaders and activists of Jatiya Party (JP) started the token mass hunger strike from 11:35am with its Dhaka City (south) convener Syed Abu Hossian Babla in the chair as a protest of the ongoing violence in the name of politics.

The JP chief, also former president of the country, joined the protest program, continued till 4:00pm.

Jatiya Party secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and its presidium members, among others, joined the hunger strike.
